For 15 days, we will help you to discover the diversity of the Morocco mountains (High Atlas). We will cross the gorge feet in the water, we will march on large trays and we will move from valley to valley by steep mountain passes where we will have splendid views of the peaks of the High Atlas of Morocco.

We will go to meet the Berber people who take up residence time of a summer on the high grassy plateaus to feed their herds of camels…

15 Days Morocco Mountains Summit Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Welcome to Marrakech airport by our guide. Airport/hotel; Overnight at hotel in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech / Aït Bouguemez
Transfer to the valley of Ait Bouguemez. Stroll around the village to a first glimpse of the valley Peaks Adazene, dinosaur tracks, and collective attic … Visit development projects; Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
2:00 walk / 300 m of positive elevation differences

Day 3: Ait Bouguemez (1850 m) / valley Arous (2250 m)
During our Summit throw Morocco mountains Irrigation channels, dry stone walls, we pass the villages of Ait Imi, Idoukaln and go back to the valley of Arous. Bivouac near the sheep of Ikkis.
6:00 walk / 600 m of vertical drop

Day 4: Arous / Tarkeddid (2900 m)
The trail rises in the circus Timramatiyn until cervical Tizi-n-Oumskiyk (2909 m). For the peaks of Aghouwri we gain a pass (3380 m), before descending to the plateau of Tarkeddid, vast pasture perched at 2900m altitude at the foot of M’goun. Bivouac near sources of Tessaout.
6 hours walking / 1150m of vertical drop

Day 5: Ascension of M’Goun (4068 m)
After an early wake up on Morocco mountains, we go up a broad valley and reach the mighty peak M’goun. We then follow up to the highest point of the Central High Atlas. A descent in the scree brings us to the plateau where we will meet Tarkeddid probably nomadic herders.

Note: people who do not wish to perform by the ascension can take advantage of the day to take a walk on the set of Tarkeddid or towards the Tizi-n-Oumsoud (2969 m).

Day 6: Tarkeddid / Amezri (2250 m)
A bold path traced in the huge limestone cliffs bordering the plateau Tarkeddid leads us Tessaout near the river. Before joining the villages of Tasghaïwalt, Tagzirt Azmezri and we can make a small incursion (in return) in the lower canyon Wandras up a cascade (beyond progression requires the use of a rope). Swimming.
5-6 hours walking / 900m.

Day 7: Amezri / Ait Ali-n-Ito (1833 m)
Discovery of the upper valley of the Tessaout and its douars, like that of Ichbakene perched on its rocky outcrop. Gite night.
6:00 ½ walk along the river and Tessaout

Day 8: Ait Ali-n-Ito / Megdaz (1961 m) / confluence Tessaout-Tissili (1750 m) / Tissili valley (1950m)
Temporarily leaving the banks of the Tessaout we climb up Megdaz, one of the most beautiful villages in the Moroccan mountains, made famous by the poems of Mririda-n-Ait Attik, a young woman from the village. After visiting the village, we descend to Tessaout and go back to the wild valley Tissili.
6 hours walking / 400m

Day 9: valley Tissili / sheep Imi-n-Tizgui (2200m) / plate facing Imazayn (2250 m)
We follow the narrow valley of Tissili already tiny cultivated plots announce villages Tissili and Imi-n-Tizgui. The rise of a small canyon (very easy, the ability to bypass by a mule track) leads us to the sheep Imi-n-Tizgui, broad pasture, dotted with azibs (dry stone huts). We climb a small pass (2600 m) before going down to a plateau perched facing the village of Imazayn.

Day 10: Tea facing Imazayn / Imazayn (2150 m) / source of the Rat (2400 m)
We continue our descent to Imazayn. The stage then leads us on the flanks of Jebel Rat, extensive water castle peak 3781m and sacred mountain for the Berber region. We cross a pass (2800 m) before descending to one of the sources of the Rat Bivouac.
5H30 walking / 700m

Day 11: Source of the Rat / Tarbat-n-Tirsal (2060 m) / Tizi-n-Tighist (2399 m)
We continue our walk on the slopes of the Rat. Many rock carvings along the route: daggers, battle scenes …
We descend towards the village of Tarbat-n-Tirsal before starting the climb towards the pass of Tizi-n-Tighist. Depending on weather conditions, camp before the pass or the pass.
5 hours walking / 550 m

Day 12: Tizi-n-Tighist (2399 m) / valley of Ait Bououlli (1600 m)
We discover the huge slabs of rock carvings covered the Tizi-n-Tighist collar: Solar Wheels, lizard-men … Then we begin the descent to the deep valley of Ait Bououlli (those of the flock). The hamlet of Agard-n-Ouzgad announces the first villages. We descend the valley dotted with century-old walnut trees, sometimes through the villages, sometimes along the wadi. Overnight lodging in the valley of Ait Bououlli.
5 hours walking

Day 13: Valley of Aït Bououlli / Marrakech
We finish our journey of the Morocco mountains with a transfer to Marrakech.

Day 14: Marrakech
Free day in Marrakech. Overnight at the hotel in Marrakech.

Day 15: Flight Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech airport.
